For "Robinson - The Journey" we started to build a Substance library that was used throughout the project by all artists.
I created this fully procedural lava substance. The substance was supposed to output a large variety of lava textures that could be used by the environment art team. Thanks to our awesome techart team we got a lava shader, that only needed a heat map as input. So in the end this substance was used to derive a heatmap for a more complex but dynamic shader.
