Hunt Showdown Mosin Nagant Avtomat

The Avtomat is one of the most iconic, yet most controversial weapons in Hunt Showdown. The weapon was losely inspired by the development of the canadian Huot Automatic Rifle, which is was retrofitted from a bolt-action rifle into a full automatic rifle.
In our case we took the Mosin Nagant Rifle and retrofitted it into a the Avtomat. This transition proved to be much more difficult, than I expected.

The gun went through 2 iterations:
The First Version (not shown here) was a textured prototype model with a barely functioning firing mechanism. It was developed in early 2016 and was supposed to updated as soon as we find the time.
The Final Version (shown here) got a complete rework of the firing mechanism (inspired by the Cei Rigotti) , a smaller drum magazine & reworked iron sights. Also all Textures were updated.

All in all I can say that this weapon proved to be one of the most challenging ones in my career. At first the idea to to retrofit a Mosin Nagant into an automatic rifle seemed to be ok. But I quickly ran into a wall when trying to figure out how the fire & bolt-locking mechanism was supposed to work.
